John Thompson, President / Owner

Mr. Thompson rose through the ranks at IBM, beginning as an Engineer, promoted to a Senior Storage Division Manager, leadership rotations at IBM G+HQ, and served as Technical Assistant to the VP of Development within a key IBM hardware business unit. Moved to the Software Division with responsibility for the E-Business Marketing space and played an instrumental role in growth market share with SAP from 3% to 30% (within a $50B+ market). He spearheaded development of partnership programs with major academic institutions to drive understanding of emerging business technologies, digital transformation, and enterprise business platforms. Worked with colleges and universities, as well as major corporations nationwide to update curricula and provide internships and permanent jobs based on advanced technology products and future business requirements.
After IBM, he formed Mobile Collaborative Education Consulting (MCEC) as he recognized that due to the rapid technology changes and advancements, corporate America needed college graduates with a more diverse set of skills and knowledge base to run their mission critical business operations. And students, across the board, were graduating ill-equipped to meet the new and changing requirements needs of corporate America. Mr. Thompson began working with several schools to creates impactful partnerships through the design and infusion of leading-edge technologies into their curriculum that produced candidate with highly sought-after skills. He has worked with over 10 universities and have been responsible for the placement of more than 400 students with Major Fortune 500 companies, Wall Street firms (20+), Federal agencies, Banking institutions, Health Care companies and others. He is recognized as a key consultant to corporate/business clients in reducing cost-to-hire/campus recruitment expenses and minimizing risk hires.
